Set up Gmail to automatically forward job application emails
u_your_user_id@inbox.yourdomain.comComplete your onboarding to get your actual forwarding address
Open Gmail → click the gear icon → See all settings
Click on the 'Forwarding and POP/IMAP' tab
Click 'Add a forwarding address' and paste your unique address → confirm
Gmail sends a confirmation code to our system; we auto-approve it
Click 'Filters and blocked addresses' → Create a new filter
From: @linkedin.com OR @indeed.com OR @totaljobs.com OR @glassdoor.com OR @reed.com
Subject includes: application OR interview OR invite OR assessment
Click 'Create filter' → Tick 'Forward it to' → choose your unique address → Create filter This tells Gmail to automatically forward any emails matching your filter conditions to your JobTracker forwarding address, so new job application emails are captured automatically.
Tick 'Also apply filter to matching conversations' if you want to process existing emails This will scan your existing inbox for job application emails that match your filter and forward them too, so you can import applications you've already received before setting up JobTracker.
In our app, click "Send test email"
We'll send a test email to your regular inbox
Forward the test email using your new rule
The email should automatically forward to your unique address
Watch for "Connected ✅" in the app
You'll see confirmation when we receive the forwarded email
